Communication...

I went to an SFT Delhi meeting today and was the only Indian there. Needless to say, most of the conversation took place in Tibetan. It is amazing how much I could understand when I did not even understand the language.

And you can spend hours talking, talking and screaming, screaming and pleading, pleading and justifying, justifying and persuading, and still not make sense to the other person. And understand so little of what is being said.

It is not the words, it is what it means to you to convey what the words mean. Do you want to have a conversation, get your point across and understand the other person as well, whatever be the language, or do you want to just talk, scream, plead just to let out all you have inside?

Language is not a barrier. And language cannot be a bond.
It is the sentiment that drives people away.
And it is the sentiment which brings them together.
